Iced Medicine Ball Tea – Starbucks Copycat for Summer

If you’ve tried my Starbucks Medicine Ball Tea copycat recipe, you already know it’s one of my go-to feel-better drinks. It’s soothing, citrusy, minty, and just the right amount of sweet.

Starbucks officially calls this drink the Honey Citrus Mint Tea, but it’s also widely known as the Medicine Ball Tea—and once you try it, you’ll see why people swear by it when they’re feeling a little under the weather.

But when the weather heats up, a steaming hot mug doesn’t always sound great. So this summer, I started making an iced version—and now I’m hooked. It’s the same cozy combo, just poured over ice and perfect for warm days.

Servings 1

Ingredients

  • 1 bag Tazo Refresh Mint tea
  • 1 bag Tazo Organic Peachy Green tea
  • ¾ cup Hot water
  • ¾ cup Lemonade light preferred (I like Simply Lemonade or Trader Joe’s)
  • 1–2 tsp Honey, to taste optional
  • Ice
  • Fresh mint or lemon slices for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Steep both tea bags in ¾ cup of hot water for about 5 minutes.
  • While the tea steeps, warm up the lemonade until hot—but not boiling. (I usually put in the microwave for 30 seconds and continue heating until hot).
  • Remove the tea bags and stir in the warm lemonade and honey.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes.
  • Fill a tall glass with ice and pour the tea mixture over the top.
  • Add any optional garnishes and enjoy!

Notes

A Few Tips:
  • Letting the tea cool a bit before pouring over ice helps it stay flavorful and not get watered down.
  • You can double or triple the recipe and keep a pitcher in the fridge—perfect for sipping throughout the day.
  • Want a little fizz? Use sparkling lemonade instead of still.

This is one of my favorite summer drinks right now. It still has that comforting flavor from the hot version, but it’s light and refreshing—great for when you want something a little different than water or iced coffee.
