It’s that time of year again – costumes, candy, and all the fall fun! Every Halloween, I love taking my daughter trick-or-treating around the neighborhood, but I still want to leave something sweet for the kids who stop by our house. That’s why I created a cute and simple free printable Trick-or-Treat sign — perfect to pair with a big bowl of candy on the porch while you’re out enjoying the night!
To make your Halloween night even easier (and a little more fun), I’ve put together a free printable Trick-or-Treat sign you can download and print at home. This year, there are two versions to choose from – one that says “Please Take One” and another that says “Please Take Two” (because honestly, is it just me, or is Halloween candy getting smaller every year?).

Materials you will need
Before we dive into the details of our free printable Trick or Treat Halloween sign, let’s make sure you have all the materials you’ll need to print at home. Or, you can have it printed for you at a printing shop, such as Office Max or Staples.
- Printer: Make sure your printer is in working order and loaded with paper and ink.
- Printer Paper: Standard letter-sized (8.5″ x 11″) paper is perfect for this project. (Or you can use card stock for a sturdier sign).
- Tape or Sticky Tack: To hang your sign.
Instructions:
Step 1: Download the Free Printable Trick or Treat Halloween Sign. Choose which option you prefer (Take One or Take Two). There is also an alternative version available with a white background.

Step 2: Print
Open the downloaded file and print it on your standard letter-sized paper. You can choose to print it in color or black and white, depending on your preference. If your printer has a “Best Quality” or “Photo” option, that might be a good choice to make the colors pop!
Step 3: Hang up your Sign
After printing your Trick-or-Treat sign, just set it out with a big bowl of candy by your front door or on the porch. It’s a simple way to let trick-or-treaters know you’re joining in on the fun – even if you’re out walking the neighborhood with your own little ones. With the sign in place, kids will know they’re welcome to take a treat (or two!), and you can enjoy your evening knowing your candy station is all set. Just make sure the sign is easy to see and placed right next to the goodies!
